When the app is down — do this
Golden rule: Nothing here is time-critical. Items are received and held; offers are valid 48 hours; the police report is weekly. You have time — stay calm.
- 1Do not pay or release anything manually. No immediate/direct purchases during an outage or backlog. Fall back to the standard path — receive, secure, confirm the offer later.
- 2Still record the unboxing video — that never pauses. Note the filename below. And keep the two-person receipt — the second person witnesses live by video call; record their name.
- 3Capture every parcel here (form below) so nothing is lost. Key it into the ops app when it is back.
- 4Keep all items physically secured and unaltered. Do not send anything to AMPCOR or melt during an outage.
- 5Anything suspicious or possibly stolen — stop, set it aside, tell Con. Say nothing unusual to the customer.
- 6Tell Con the app is down. Con: [add number]. Note the time it went down and what you were doing.
What to say to a customer on the phone
"Thank you — we've safely received and secured your items. Our team will confirm your offer with you shortly. There's nothing more you need to do right now."
(Interim wording — to be replaced by James's approved customer scripts. Never mention a system problem, a police matter, or a review.)
Safe to defer until the app is back
Making/accepting offers · the weekly police submission (it's weekly) · payments · AMPCOR despatch. None of these are to-the-minute.
